The Story
Elena's visa appointment set the deadline: married within six weeks, or months apart. We filed the licence in week one, booked a beloved Outer Banks officiant, and timed the ceremony to sunset on the exact day the paperwork cleared.
The challenge was pure logistics — documents, witnesses, tide charts and a forecast that wobbled until the morning. Our Plan B dune-top site stayed ready; the beach delivered instead.
The result was eight people, bare feet, and vows exchanged as the sun dropped into the Atlantic. Photographs back within a week; certificates within two.
“Five weeks from panic to married. The ceremony was ten minutes long and I remember every second.”
