The Story
Maya and Tom wanted the opposite of a production: eighteen people, one lakeside lawn, and vows they wrote themselves. Morning fog burned off just as guests arrived, leaving glass-still water and gold light — better than anything we could have staged.
The challenge was a venue with no infrastructure: no power, no kitchen, no shelter. We brought in a whisper-quiet generator, a chef's tent disguised with draping, and a clear-span marquee on standby that, happily, never left its truck.
The result was a forty-minute ceremony followed by a long lakeside lunch at a single king's table. Maya's father cried; Tom's grandmother danced. Total planning time: four months.
“It felt like the day planned itself. We just stood by the water and meant every word.”
